Flywheel the same for a 5 speed and a 6 speed?

Post by mntn-biker »

Does anyone know if the flywheel is the same for a 5 speed and a 6 speed? Looking to buy a used 6 speed (w/o a flywheel) to replace my bad bearing noisy 5 speed and wondering if my 5 speed flywheel will work with the replacement 6 speed.

Per Gripforce.com sales: There are 2 different flywheels. They have 1 part number for a clutch for both the 5 speed and the 6 speed and they both bolt up to each flywheel. I am going to have my flywheel re-surfaced if I am able to.
