Blower Motor Touchy...

'08 Vibe, 40K miles. I've read thru all the postings which come up when you search 'blower motor.' I've read if the blower stays on w/ 'high' fan setting only that it's likely a bad resistor. This is different. This one will come on at the low or mid fan control setting, but when A/C switch is pressed in, and fan control moved to higher (4) or highest, the blower fan doesn't work .The only way to get it to work is to monkey around w/ the wiring going to the fan. (not beating on the motor itself, which would indicated brushes...and with a 2 yr old vehicle and only 40 K miles on it, even though this is Florida and A.C and fan are used on max daily, still the blower moter and/or brushes should not be bad). Ideas?... (without me having to pulll the motor)?...

Which is why I will only be really impressed if anyone ever has a 3 yr 36 month warranty - whichever comes LAST!
