Hi All, I am a new member here greeting you with unfortunately some sad news. Not sure where to post this so I am starting here.I am in possession of a 2005 FWD Vibe whose journey has ended with a bang. It has plenty of good parts left, the motor and tranny run. And, well, as a believer in transplants, I think the writing is on the wall that the parts from this car need a new home, hopefully with people who can use and appreciate them.It has 105k on the odometer and with the exception of the bent parts, everything is in good shape, including the airbags. Respond to this and I’ll let you know what parts are left.

was this car your car before it was wrecked, or did you take posession of the car from someone else after it was wrecked? Have you always owned this car, or did you buy the wreck to part it out?
Sorry- didn't understand the question. I got involved after the wreck. A friend of mine came to me with the car and asked me if I would help him get the parts to a better home. He took possession after the wreck as well. My understanding is that the lady driving had just recently purchased the car just prior to the accident- so it has had a few owners. The car starts and idles well (I have done this myself) but it was hit pretty badly just ahead of the passenger side front wheel. The wreck smooshed up the front end and swung the car around and also damaged the right rear corner as well. So- the motor runs well and all the doors are good (except the PS rear), but the accessories are probably bad since I can’t get access to them. I have not attempted to actually drive the car at all. Here are some of the “bad†pictures. On a side note, I’m in NO WAY a professional. I don’t part out cars for a living. I’m just trying to help a buddy take care of this on a personal level. That said, I am as (removed) as they come (I restore cars as a hobby) and am a deeply committed car guy. I always feel that people who actually care for specific cars ought to get a chance to get at the parts because that’s what I hope for when I need parts for my projects. Too often cars are treated as transportation appliances, and I’d rather deal with people who actually care about what they want and what they are getting.Anyway- that’s the skinny.
does this car have the automatic hatch release (Motor and Button??)
