Ok I thought I'd start a thread since I'll probably have a couple questions about this program. I know there are a couple GIMP users, even more Photoshsop.Post your questions here amd we'll try our best to answer them!
My 1st question is about borders. I wanna make a border around this picture that fades to black around the edges. Here's exactly what I want, but I had to upload it to Photobucket and use their editor to get this one. I'd rather eliminate that step and do it in Gimp

It is sorta close to what you want, you could play with the settings to see if it will do what you need. Not sure if you have the plugin for that (it comes standard on the Linux version, unsure about the others.)

Wow...you can do that with GIMP? Photoshop I know, but a friend installed GIMP for me because photoshop would have taken way too much memory on my netbook, but I never could figure out that GIMP thing so I deleted it to save memory

I get the largest fuzzy round brush and scale it all the way up and choose my color. Then a click once in any corner and hold shift and click in the next corner. Repeat just going around the image until you have the desired results. It's a little more gradual this way.Quote, originally posted by HawaiiPontiacLover »a friend installed GIMP for me because photoshop would have taken way too much memory on my netbook, but I never could figure out that GIMP thing so I deleted it to save memory Youtube tutorials have taught me a lot, but I've spent about an hour on it everyday since I've had it.
I figured out the radial motion blur....just took me 2 and a half hours here are the results My bro hit something and it bent the lip of his 24" rim so that it's no longer holding air, so to get a laugh outta him I edited this photo.
I would say the back windows color need to be just a *little* bit darker, but otherwise that's exactly the right technique! I like that you just blacked out the third window hahaha.

Oh.. and BTW.. I downloaded GIMP.. and wow.. It might as well be written in Japanese.. I "tried" to do something.. and well.. it didn't go over so well
Like that! Try changing the hue of the car to have a slight red cast (rather than a slight blue cast it has now from the blue sky) to match the scenery and blend in, like I did on the photo of your car in hell!(sorry for all the constructive criticisms, just trying to help you skip all the years I had of not knowing what I am doing!)

One was done in GIMP and one was done in Photobucket editor. Same result tho.And the bear is under the front driver side...look closely, or i'll show you on my laptop later, whatev
Bet y'all didn't know that MSWVibe was on the cover of this month's Super Street Magazine, did ya?Here's the cover! Still waiting to hear back from him on whether he likes it or not . What do YOU think?
Quote, originally posted by A Psycho Martyr »you got it!It took about 2 1/2 hrs all together. Lot of guessing involved lolHere's another. I decided the cars needed a bit more saturation...This one has a teddy bear in it too! At the top of the trees in the very middle where the image mirrors.... the trees make a teddy bear
