Interior Cleaning

Post by 09vGT »

My 09 GT seats and carpet are pretty stained up. I want to shampoo the carpets myself as I'm a little tight on cash at the moment. Cleaning the mats is no biggie since I can take them out, but anyone have a certain way to do the seats and carpet. I'm not really wanting to buy shampooer or rent one.. but I do have a wet/dry shop vac. Can I just apply carpet cleaner to the seats and carpet and vacuum it up with the shop vac, or will this just create a huge mess? Any pointers would be great! Also, what type of cleaner should I buy?

I'd suggest looking over some posts from Whelan:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=37694I usually use a bucket of warm water and soap to get out the tough stains....
