Beep! Beep! Making my car beep when i lock it

Post by lordvic »

Looking for some form of mod, that is easily and cheaply done.I did not get an alarm system for my car. Everything is power, However, when i locked the doors via fob, the only notice of that is a flash of the light.Well, for the most part this is ok. But I am often carrying a lot of gear over my shoulders and in my hands and arms when locking the door, and can't always look at the car when doing it.so, is there a way, either a homebrew, or simple cheap (< $20 buck) method of adding in some form of door chime to alert when the car has successfully locked? like most modern cars have

...I'm guessing the LACK of answers implies a "NO" answer to your question....simply putting a beeper across one of the turn-signal lamps would get you a "beep" but it'd also sound off with every turn you made; would need additional circuitry to only allow beep to sound when the main electrical power was off (ignition key removed)....not impossible, but likewise, not simple.
