Heck yes I do! I pay for the premium service because I listen so much. My favorite channel is my own custom channel "Random Musings Radio" which knows my tastes so well that it recommends songs I just heard on XM radio that I liked without knowing what their names were. It's creepy, almost.

I LOVE Pandora !!! I listen to it all the time and max out my free hours on the last week of every month. I listen to it on my computer & work and at home. I also have it on my Palm Pre Plus smartphone. I plan on getting a new head unit for my car w/bluetooth so I can listen to Pandora in my car. If I keep maxing out my hours, I may just pop for the yearly $36 fee to get Pandora One unlimited and dump XM. Here are all my stations I have created in no particular order (The stars indicate how often I listen to that station):Sarah Brightman Radio Bond Radio Ronald Jenkees Radio Deftones Radio Twilight Radio Juliana Hatfield Radio Poe Radio Decode Radio Lady Gaga Radio Paramore Radio Flyleaf Radio A Perfect Circle Radio Green Day Radio Incubus Radio Amber Radio Massive Attack Radio Deep Forest Radio Phantogram I only have 4 free hours left this month...

Some artists that you type in create better playlists than others.
Flyleaf is cool. Enlighten me on this thing called Pandora. I am a sponge, ready to absorb.

Pandora is an internet radio service where you create your own experience. It classifies all songs in its database according to different characteristics the song has. You can start a "station" by telling it an artist, group of artists, song, group of songs, or combination of those things, and it selects songs that have similar characteristics. You can "thumb up" or "thumb down" songs it selects so that it learns more about your tastes and continues to customize what it plays. The more you interact (adding more artist seeds, song seeds, or thumb up/thumb down) the more it "knows" you and suggests things you might like. My playlist is about four years old and I've been interacting with it this whole time, so it has my tastes almost spot on.

But if Pandora is on the internet can't you just get it no matter where you are?Quote, originally posted by K-NINE »Flyleaf is cool. Enlighten me on this thing called Pandora. You build your list, you rate the content, then it provides selections based on your choices.

A lot of websites are now using this feature to stream local ads. (I would see a Canadian Tire ad on a Japanese website or when you see dating site ads with "singles" from your area for instance).

I don't know of any, but it might be an option for you to get Pandora in Canadia.EDIT: I just did a quick search and this is the first item that came up: http://www.thefreecountry.com/...shtml

favorite channel? isn't the point to create your own channel? it truly is amazing pandora...and has turned me on to so much new music I would never have heard before. Just type your favorite band or song, and it finds so many amazing songs. And if you don't like, you can skip to the next song. (to a point). The free service is all I've ever used. it gives you more options if you pay but seems unnecessary for now.

That bites!!! Have you tried Grooveshark or Slacker Radio?I just added another station for a Indie Pop/Rock group from NY: Phantogram Bummer is I only have 1-2 hours left for the month...

I used to be a huge advocate of Pandora and XM Radio. I just canceled my XM radio yesterday and left my Pandora plus off. The problem with Pandora is that I keep hearing the same 15 songs over and over and over and over again and XM Radio does the same thing.Long story short I switched over to Slacker and I am doing their trial right now. Their desktop app is solid and I will be installing their iPhone App before I leave work. Ill keep you guys posted on my findings.

Are you telling me that I can create my own station called: All Alan Parsons, all the time?????? Then I've died and gone to heaven. I'm locked into my XM on my Vibe for life, so I won't be giving up my "all 80's all the time" in the car anyway.
Yeah on Pandora you can put in any Band or Song and it will play songs with the same musical qualities. I am really liking Slacker so far. I have been listening to it on my iPhone since 2:30pm. Its now 7:45pm .http://www.slacker.comhttp://www.pandora.com

I use Pandora on my blackberry, most often on a Frank Zappa station I've been tweaking for some time. Sometimes use it under a set of sound blocking headphones while mowing the lawn, running the wood splitter, etc. Have a boom box with an aux input in the garage, crank it up on Pandora when working on a vehicle, where it's nice to have a long unattended selection of random good music.I only use the free version. Tried slacker for a while, got tired of the "buy the premium version" promos every couple of songs. Use it sometimes in the Vibe while driving, but usually on the normal commute while driving I listen to the local station that gives the best traffic reports, or use the blackberry to tune in to the local police/fire scanner using moodio (now yourmuze)
What sucks is all these radio apps do not play AM. I don't listen to much music unless I'm in the car with my lady. Otherwise it's Rush, Savage, and Levine.

Otherwise it's Rush, Savage, and Levine. All you need is an AM radio and you can pick up your right wing talkers wherever you go, they're only covering about 100% of every market in this country. It's not like you have to rig up your antenna to the Al Bundy "Fox viewing position" to be able to find Rush on the dial. Pick up a small, good quality radio and listen for free. I have a small $30 Sony that has one of the best AM tuners I've ever heard. Also FM and weather band (and used to do analog TV audio before dtv came about.) Runs for 40 hours on one AAA.Anyway, Pandora is about music and music discovery, not about talk.

Just letting you guys know that I am probably going to subscribe to Slacker for their $4.99/month plan as its great. I would have to describe it as a cross between Pandora and XM radio. You can custom tailor your own station and there are also live streaming stations. So far I have been using it through my iPhone via my 3G connection and its been quite solid.
