Hello all,My name is Michelle and My Vibe is Josie. She is a 2003 GT 6-speed model and Love her. I bought her brand new off the lot and have since put 116K miles on her. I have had ZERO issues with my vibe. Basic maintnence only. I did have to replace a brake caliper passenger side because it had locked up and decided not to work. Other then that just oil changes, wipers, oh and 2 door handles. Horrible design on those. Especially with a 4 year old who doesn't understand gently fully yet.I am in need of a clutch replacement, which I have purchased. I have put a post under the engine & transmission section so if you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks for the help & community GenVibe offers.
That's a long term relationship you have going there with Josie, and just proves what a good car Vibes are. Welcome to our Vibe site... it's populated by a bunch of nice and very helpfull Vibe owners and former owners, is some cases.

Yea... you're pretty lucky so far, I think the normal picture "mob" is a little distracted right now in Washington D.C. But it won't be long before they get bored going after politicians and turn their out of control wrath on you, once they notice there are still no new Josie pictures on the Vibe site. You better get to it. Don't want that mob at your door step !

welcome! And this is your first clutch replacement in your 03 VGT? WOW! That's very impressive! Mine was replaced around 33K miles. and yes, pics are always welcome here.
Welcome Michelle!!! Another Driver who LOVES their RED cars Excellent choice of color! Based on the dependability of our Vibes and their outstanding track record, your youngster could be driving it off to college in 10-15 years! That's if you have the heart to part with it! Your six speed manual (1st gear very close ratio) AND most like GOOD driving skills have netted you those mileage numbers on the original clutch. Continue the excellent care and post often
Welcome to another 03 gt with no problems. I replaced the belt in Dec at 99k. Brake pads a while back and that is it. Having a little idle problem now but this car has been great. Still on the original clutch.
I was having an idle problem about 60K miles ago and we replaced the spark plugs and it solved my problem. Just an idea for you. I forgot I have changed the belt too. If anyone has any good suggestions for getting my seat clean that would be helpful. I have two boys ages 5 & 2 and they tend to make a mess!!! Every time I have cleaned my seats it leaves a "wet" spot. Can't seem to get rid of it either. So please need suggestions on that one. Oh and the weather stripping around the doors are detiorating. It is like they have been smashed in the wrong place over time. So I guess I am full of suggestions.
