leaky Nipple anyone?

Post by good vibes »

so far my check engine light has come on 3 times. 1st time it was because of the gas cap not being clicked 3 times. Oh well didn't cost anything. 2nd time it was a sensor on the exhaust, not the 02 sensor though something else. now 3rd time I was told I have a leaky Nipple. I hate when this happens. It is actually a part of the gas tank. It is located on the top of it. In a realy hard to reach location. it is going to take about 5 hours of labor. They have to drop the rear, the rear transfer case, exhaust and then the tank. So much for Japanese quality. Oh and by the way. I asked about the stinky Exhaust again, blew it off as a gas thing I don't buy it but that's what they say.Later all: Rob

yeah I know, too many nipples not enough time But I think htey said it was something to do with the emissions system. It's all connected some how, somewhere. they gave it the smoke test.

Didn't Lorin get code 446 when he had Autozone check it out. I know he disconnected the battery and it reset the code but if it comes back, this could be his problem. Not the CAI.

Hey great info on that web site. That is exactly what is going on with my car. They ordered the parts on tuesday, so it should be going back early next week for the repair. I'll keep you posted if anything changes.later

Well I got my leaky Nipples fixed "for now" they say. There is now way for them to pressure test it once it is all reinstalled. So I will know if it works if the Check Engine light doesn't come on. That's all for now.Rob
