Just installed a Valor DTS-603W HU in my 04 base, and well, let's just say everything doesn't match up real well. I'm a USAF machinist, so i'm going to fab my own trim ring to fill in the gaps, will post pic after i get it programmed and cut out.
hey man how much will you charge to make one for a 07, we have a kenwood double din, and there is a gap i dont like as well... i was thinin fiberglass a custom one, but if you can charge a decent cheapness lol i wouldnt mind one from you
Mine doesnt match up either. The radio is a bit to wide so it sits recessesed behind the trim ring. I was thinking of dremeling the surrounds on the plastic trim. Submit some pics when you are complete and maybe Ill find some motivation to do it myself. Thanks.

Quick update. After watching how the screen moves as it motors down, i'll probably have to take a simpler approach. The distance between the HU and the factory trim piece goes from about 1/4" to under 1/16". P.S. have new door speakers on the way 4 Alpine SPS-600
figured a picture might help out some. You can see the slight damage my basket endured during install... had to bend it at the corners then re-expand it to "original" shape. The basket was a good 1/8" - 1/4" larger than the slot.
Why didnt you remove the trim panel, then install the basket and radio them reattatch the pamel? That doesnt look all that bad. Maybe im just not seeing the problem cuz of my iphone screen being small. Ill post a pic tonight of mine. Atleast your DD is flush mine is recessed behind the trim panel cuz the body of the unit is to big to fit in the hole. BTW the switch in the glove box is the DVD bypass switch
