2003 base model vibe. question - not to be envirmental unfriendly and not considering vehicle state inspections,etc. ===--- just a question =- can a person cut off the catalytic converter and not replace it ? will the computer accept that situation? would a person still need to replace defective 02 semsors?

if you cut it off you will get a check engine light. i have seen post here of people using this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...Parts and haveing no issues.when i cut the cat off my dads truck i bought an o2 simulator from casperselectronics but i think they are not selling them any more.

Modifying or removing emissions equipment is a violation of federal law and such discussion will not be allowed on this board. locked
