2AZ-FE?

Post by bigdaddyjosh »

I saw a TRD 2AZ-FE supercharger the other day on a Scion. And, as far as I can tell, that is the same engine in the 2.4 09Vibe. Question is, will it fit?

Actually, no, but they can do a pcm swap. Just a diff module is all.

swapping a pcm from a scion to a vibe may not work. I dont know myself, has anyone tried it? So with the SC TRD for that engine they just flash the stock ecu right? is the toyota ecu not cracked to be able to be pulled off to a pc and reflashed? or what about emanage or something?

That TRD S/C was discontinued due to many issues; not worth it.

well..it is a centrifugal supercharger..and belts can slip etc...almost like a belt driven turbo that runs off just like a normal roots blower would work. turbo would be better but a centrifugal like a procharger is just soooo easy to isntall because you dont have to do anything to the exhaust manifold. anywho... lame I really wanted to see a trd SC on a vibe :/
