I'm waiting at my office for the Pontiac roadside assistance to come help me figure out how to deal with my two (yes TWO) flat tires from a freaky line of potholes. There were so many of them there was literally no where to go to avoid them! So now I am wondering - is this type of damage covered under my warranty? I bought my 09 in August and there are only 8,000 miles on the car.
It might be covered by your insurance (collision with roadbed) but if you have a high deductible you're out of luck. You could also file a claim with the municipality that maintains the road. Good luck!
Thanks for the advice all. I ended up doing almost $1800.00 in damage (two tires and two wheels) and went through my insurance company so I only had the $500.00 deductable. I am usually good a dodging pot holes (here in Minneapolis you have to be) but I was going under a railroad bridge and it was dark and shadowy and I didn't see anything until it was much too late. I am putting in a claim with the city too, but I don't know if I will have any luck. The worse thing now is that I have my car back all fixed and but I almost don't want to drive for fear of hitting more potholes - and it's not even March yet - ugh!
