installing a wing?

Post by SweetVibeGTGirl »

I like the spoilers, they look sweet! can anyone tell me if I should have the dealer install it or if a shop somewhere could install it cheaper? and if so would it be a good idea to have it done by some place other then the dealer? cause i know they like to charge an arm and a leg to install things...

When it comes to that kinda stuff, I'd say go with the dealer...they (should) know the car best, how to install it, and GM will likely help you out if the dealer screws up the install, but will turn their heads if you go to some random third party installer...

quote:whatever you do, don't get one of those aluminum rear wings that looks like a bookshelf lol! yeah, i dont think one of those would look good on a vibe, thats for sure! I was just reading in another post for the carbon fiber hoods that they could make spoilers for the vibe and I requested that they make a carbon fiber spoiler to go with the carbon fiber hood they make! Now, I think that would look sweet!

Now, I think that would look sweet! Well, that could be a problem -- may have to work harder to find a dealer to install non-GM branded parts...Same thing -- GM may not offer any help if an install is botched and the parts being installed aren't GM...even if a dealer did it...quote:that is a very good point.... yeah, thats prob. true....... I guess that is something I would have to think about.... mmmmmmmmmky, done! lol! I think at this point I am thinking I would just have to take the risk, cause I sure do think that a carbon fiber spoiler would look sweet! and if they were to make one I would def, buy it! Maybe I could get some kind of warranty from the manufactor instead of from the dealer because I know they probably wouldnt want to give me any kind of warranty if they were to install something that they didn't sell to me.i will have to email this kreraracing company and see what kind of warranty they offer with there products.
