Horn not working

Post by cthomasparr »

Just picked up a 2004 Vibe and I noticed that the horn doesn't work like it is supposed to. The horn works when I press on the left spoke of the steering wheel center, but not the bottom or right side.Does anybody have any idea what the issue might be. If there are some contacts in the steering wheel that need to be cleaned or greased, does anyone know how to disassemble the steering wheel?

To take the center of the steering wheel off, there are two T10 bolts at about 4 and 8 o'clock. Take those out and the center will come out. I would recommend disconnecting the battery first as this is where your airbag is located and you wouldn't want to accidentally set it off. As far as what might be underneath and how to make the horn work again, I can't help you with that.
