I found this thing on e-Bayhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2417381452&category=31285Looks bogus for me. They claim getting 20+ HP with this.Any thought?
It looks like the blower fan out of a shop vacuum. Also notice the $30 shipping. I can get Sears to ship me a new motor/fan for my craftsman shop vac for about $35 AFTER tax and shipping. So BOGUS is my vote. I've already got three shop vacs.KSNeptune
check out dillpickle's in the engine forum to see one installed.

the guy selling this is located in Rochester MI, about 20 minutes from my house and/or work. He's got a performance shop out here, maybe I should swing in and pretend to be interested in one of these and see what he says. There are a few other Michigan members on GenVibe that live very close to this place, I found his address on his Ebay listing because he doesn't use Pay Pal.Performance Discount 2939 S Rochester Rd. #203 Rochester Hills, MI 48307
With 12 v. (actually, ~ 13.5) and a power draw of 2.7 amps, as specified, this blower is drawing 36.45 watts. If it was 100% efficient (can't happen), it would produce less than 1/20th of a horsepower! Our heater blower is likely three times as powerful; maybe we should just build a diverter valve and intake duct into the heater case! Per previous posts, it would take 30 amps or more to have any real potential. It would be interesting if someone could drop by and see a demo...
