Just wondering if anyone had 19 inches. I would like to swap out my tires sometime in the future and wasn't sure if 19's would even fit on the vibe (2009 model) or if they would fit, but rub. Let me know?
You could probably stuff a 19" wheel in the wheelwell, but your tires are going to have to be limited to something approaching the thickness of a rubber band. Your Vibe's ride is going to take a beating with that size wheel and the low profile tire you'll have to mount on it. And if you happen to be riding inside, you will be taking the beating, too.Another thing to consider... any bad road surfaces are probably going to get to those wheels. 18" wheels get dinged around here pretty easily when 35 aspect ratio tires are mounted. They don't leave much distance from road deformations to the edge of those expensive rims.Just FYI.
'08 Manual, Sun&Sound, 17" Borbet Type CA wheels, 215/50 Summer Tires... 16" OE steel, 215/55 Snow Tires
It is possible, you can even go up to 20's but it will be a Harsh ride. Go to http://www.tirerack.com you can even see what they would look like on your Vibe.

The 09-10 Vibe and Matrix can run 20's as the manager of the tire shop where I got my winters pointed out on the sizing chart. And FYI, the 20" wheel and tire combo for the Vibe could be had for LESS then the 19" wheel and tire combo!!!19" tires are the most difficult to find, expensive to buy, and painful for the tire guy to get his hands on too (next to 21s...)! As my buddy at that shop routinely tells me how 19" owners are shocked to learn that 4 tires will cost them $1600 before install....
