I too will attempt to remove the blower motor as many members herehave done. I'm not the extreme savy type when it comes to cars but seems to be an easy job as most members have stated and I will follow the directions that members have posted.Just a few questions.People keep saying ECU and firewall on numerous times. Can someone post a pic of what these are. What is an ECU.Now about my heating problem. When I put the key in the ignition and turn 1/2 turn without starting the engine and then turn the knob for heat intensity, i can hear the blower motor run silently. As I raise the heat fan speed, i can hear the motor go faster and slightly a little louder but no cold or hot air coming out of vents. Can I assume from this info that the resistor is OK and the fuse is OK but that there is something wrong with blower motor? Thanks for any help.

ECU is the Engine control Unit. It is located behind and below the glove box. you can see it if you stick your head under the passenger dash. The firewall is the metal wall between the passenger cabin and the engine bay. you can see it on the driver;s and passenger's side under the dash as well.Sorry, I can't help you with your main problem. Others will chime in soon.

Have you checked the air filter behind the glove box to see if it's totally full of dirt, etc...? Maybe that wouldn't be enough to stop the air completely but it wouldn't hurt to check.
