Ok, im about to hit 100,000 miles on my vibe gt. i was wondering if there is anything i should be checking? timing belt, valves? any certain thing i should do or anything i shoudl be getting ready to look at, at some point soon? any info would be great.
1) Timing belt is actually a timing chain so you are set there unless it breaks. 2) Valves, I have heard some people saying recommendation is to have valve clearances checked but to me that is BS and can cause more problems. Some fuel system cleaner works fine on your next tank.3) Keep changing the oil, rotate the tires, alignments, brakes, etc.I'm at 109,000 on my Matrix XR AWD with no major issues. I won't put my latest axle and differential problem in the mix because apparently I hit something on the road a few months back which caused the problem underneath.
ok, thats cool. Im not all up to date on the internals. but i didnt know what should be changed like some of the honda stuff they say to change the timing belts at like 100,000 bc if it brakes it will let the piston hit the valves and then bent the vlaves, but i do all that now so im good ,thanks for the info.
