Roof Rack Question

Post by Bocaj77 »

I have been looking into getting a Thule rack for 2 mountain bikes. I wanted to also look into the Yakima one also. When I called Yakima they basically told me the stock roof rack on the Vibe sucks. I have a 2004 Vibe and Im wondering if anyone else is using the Thule rack and if they have any problems?

I have a Yakima and Thule setup on my car and it works great. The factory crossbars are not the strongest, but I've never had a problem with my Yakima/Thule setup.p.s. I'm selling my setup too if you are interested

My question is I am leaning toward the Thule, but the stock roof rack sits back far on the Vibe and I dont know how hard it will be to load the bike. Can some people post some picts of their bike racks on their Vibes please

I have a 2010 but the rack is still towards the back and i do not have the side rails like the older vibes did but I just bought the yak "forklift" the front of the bike has to face backwards but it was the best solution for me and I really like it. It is not very hard to load the bikes the position on the roof makes no difference for me.
