Hi,I got a 2005 Vibe recently after years of Subaru Legacy ownership. It was sad to see the old Subie go but here I am! Today, I took the Vibe in for an oil change at Valvoline only to find out that...none of the air filters had been changed, ever.the transmission fluid had never been changedthe engine coolant was not there...seriously, it was emptyI'm glad we got in when we did and we gave it all the necessary service. I always treated my Subie right and I'm glad I can still start off well with this car. After they changed the internal air filter, the fan makes a noise like a jet engine, I guess something fell down into the fan. I'll try to vacuum it out soon. Overall, I'm pleased with the car, it has some nice get-up-and-go but sometimes taking turns on the parkways leaves me a little wary.Seems like it is a good community though, and now I know where to go for help!
welcome... photos are wanted... just so you know... actually it should be a requirement to post for your first time LOLJKHopefully the lack of maintance doesn't hurt the car.

Welcome to the Vibe forum. That's not too many miles @67K on an '05... but I can't believe that someone would let the coolant run dry. And not changing filters? But the Vibe has a tough and durable engine. Hope the oil got changed once in a while. Might want to check it for sludge build-up. There are products that you can put into the crankcase, run the engine a few minutes and then you dump out. It's amazing what it will losen up in there. Seafoam down the intake is also something the might help out with the cleaning process. Check the spark plugs too, just in case. Don't forget to take some pictures and post them. The forum natives get restless without them!
