If you're buying one, the trade-in value is always more than what you think it should be. If you're selling one, it's always lower.

check out kelley blue bookhttp://www.kbb.comit is all based on options, condition, mileage, etc.however vibe may not yet be listed because it's still considered a very new model...2003 models aren't expected to be hitting the used car market so quickly...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Logically, it would start out at MSRP minus the $2,000 rebate and an approx. $1,000 dealer discount, then adjusted for mileage, time left on warranty, and condition. With a $19,000 MSRP you are starting at $16,000. For 15,000 miles and one year I expect you are looking at perhaps a $11,000 trade-in and $13,500 retail if in excellent condition as most 1 yr old vehicles would be.

There is no value in Kelley Blue Book for the Vibe yet. Remember when I lost my first one?? Well the first thing I did when I got home from that tragedy was hop on KBB and check the value. No value. My insurance company could not get one either from their sources so I am guessing that for now they are using sticker price and I guess deduct a little for depreciation maybe.

The reason I asked is because I went to a dealer and they wanted $13,000 for my GT i tought that was crazy. They said domestics lose there value fast

I dont think that is true unless they show you some kind of authentic paperwork showing the value.Keep in mind the only thing domestic on this car is the name plate

As I remember, the Geo Prizm did not hold its value as well as the mechanically identical Toyota Corolla. "Perception" means a lot. That's how Toyota can get so much more for a Lexis 300 than a Toyota Camry ven asfter factoring in the added features/equipment. Remember - dealers make a lot more markup on used cars than they do on new cars.

look under cars.com website..they have a used car price section....a vibe gt w/under 6,000 miles, with moon/toons and power package retails for 17,400 and trades at 14,400 (approx.) also has trade in values for base and awd models too!...hopes this helps....the used car market is getting so bashed with all the low interest rates on new stuff that all used cars will plummet in price
