I recently made the switch from a Dell basic optical laser mouse to a Logitech Trackman Wheel in dark grey. Two days in and I love it, doctor recommended I get one since I have had pains in my shoulder/neck from moving and old mouse around too much, this helps A LOT. So what do you use?

So what do you use?Not sure what you are asking. For a cursor control device, I use the touchpad built in to the laptop. For pains in the shoulder/neck, I use mass quantities of adult beverages. There didn't seem to be poll options for either of those.

I've been using the old school version of that trackball for almost 10 years now Trackman Marble WheelWhen these show up new on eBay, they have been known to sometimes sell for more now than they did when new. I only paid $30 for mine back then, and there is one on eBay now for $34. Quote, originally posted by epcIII »Can you play games with it as well as the optical one?I can only game with a trackball. I have never been able to do it with the mouse.

I find the touchpads on the laptops somewhat bothersome. My thumb will drag across it and all sorts of strange things happen while I type! When I can I use my Logitech NanoV450 Cordless Laser Laptop mouse and shut off the touchpad.http://ecx.images-amazon.com/i..._.jpgh ... ..p_e_1The sender protrudes about 3/8 of an inch and is always plugged in, even in the carry bag. The mouse has been a year now and still the original batteries in it, works just fine!Actually my wife has two, one at work, one at home and two senders plugged into her USB Ports.Dave
Funny topic as I just got an Apple Magic Mouse for my iMac.....its truly the most awesome mouse ever...the touch control works somewhat like an iPhone and its Bluetooth so its wireless with no USB tie up required....its a beautiful and functional piece of technology.
on my laptop i usually use the trackpad if out and around, if i'm at home i use a basic microsoft optical mouse. on my desktop i use a razer diamondback because unlike typical optical mice it has an insane dpi and it also doesn't "sleep" when left stationary for a few moments. makes fragging that much easier. i've also talked to a few people who like the razers for doing photo editing for their sensitivity alone. even if it's the best mouse in the world, if it isn't made for your style, it sucks. there are types who prefer to lay their entire palm on the mouse, people like that usually prefer a larger mouse that really contours to the hand. usually the logitechs.i'm a finger tip user. i prefer slighty smaller/thinner mice but the key is how the buttons feel. if the buttons are in weird places or trigger in odd places they annoy me.
i use a wacom tablet at work, and also my optical mouse designed by masamune shirow (appleseed, ghost in the shell, etc) anything to make work more fun
