Tokico Blues & Sport Line Springs

Post by vibe Freak »

I just put the tokicos on the Vibe a couple days ago. My god what a difference these struts make, the car rides way better and handles like a dream. The acceleration off the line is crazy fast and very responsive. If you are in the market for springs and struts this is the combo to roll with. I had H Tech springs with kybs on before for about 40,000 miles. This is way better.

I felt the same way when I put the Tokicos on with S Techs last spring. Now, however with the cold weather coming here in Ottawa I'm starting to learn there will be a downside with this setup in the form of an extra rough and loud ride when the temperature drops. I'm fine with it at this stage in my life, but can now easily understand how some people decide to go back to stock eventually.

I'll be looking to replace my shocks with blues next summer -- hopefully with the Prokit springs it'll be a decent winter ride.

How much lower than stock is this setup? I'm looking to possibly do some suspension work on my GT when spring comes back around.

Tokiko D-specs would be a great alternative if someone wanted some adjustable.. A lot of the Subie guys run D-specs..

I have Tokico Illuminas (adjustable) on my Civic with Eibach Pro-Kits. That was a great set up - it also did not change with the weather (but never drove it when it was below freezing).
