I am in pure AWE... I was when I first found out about the project.. I see the pro-street theme going on... what are you considering with the interior? Are you going with a more traditional interior or are you going full race?? I'd love to design an audio system to be showcased in that wonderful work... I'm considered a "new schooler" but I LOVE the oldschool... In fact, my first car WAS supposed to be a 57' Chevy Bel Air... I never got to even see the car, though it was bought and payed for (family transaction) from my uncle.. My mother is trying to fight, RIGHT NOW, to try and get me the car... it's been sitting since 92' waiting for me, somewhere in the WV area.. (Bodhi's neck of the woods I think)When My grandmother passed away, I went to WV to lay her to rest... went to my uncles house to see if it was still sitting there... It had been moved, just before I got there too... the spot it was sitting was still a pile of dead grass and tire dimples in the ground.. Sorry, I'm really upset over this... I've thought about this car for 15yrs now... lol..

My GOD, that's nice... Got any better pics of the firewall work... I only see a little and WOW... !!!!That front clip is SICK, hood AND tilt..!! nice...!!It sure would be fun to do a audio install in that, but i'm sure you'll be listening to "other" things for a while.. lol.. I would just love to do a proper sound quality install in a ride like that though... full sound deadening, classy amps and drivers... I've got an INSANE sub that would be interesting to have in there... It's designed for pure sound quality, yet with the ability to thump... lol... and 17lbs..!!I can't wait to see this finished...

So nice, brings a tear to my eye... lol... I am an audio guy at heart, building a competition system in my Subie right now... Maybe we could talk, get you the most out of what you are planning? I spend a LOT of time helping people in this way, here and on a few other forums.. Just an offer though, I know you have a master plan... Cheers..

I'd be happy to help in any way you wished.. if you had/have any questions, i'm all ears.. I'm actually putting my system together out of both new and old gear... Running a 12v modified xBox, equipped with a 500g external HDD... then i'm running optical out to an Alpine c/h701 processor combo.. The Alpine gives me my volume control/pre-amp, active digital crossover, massive EQ ability (digital as well) and Time Alignment on all outputs.. That's the new school end.. On the old shool end, i'll be using Linear Power amps (early 90's) and Image Dynamics IDQ series 15's, 8's and HLCD's (Horn Loaded Compression Drivers) for speakers (early/mid 90's as well) With that set up and the way i'm doing the install, i'll be running all of 500w total and it should rock pretty hard... !!I'm no expert, but like you with the rods, it's been a hobby for a long time.... Even went to school for car audio back in the early 90's at Mobile Dynamics, over in Canada... lol... I just need to hit a UTI or some other automotive type school and I can change my career.. lol.. lemme know if I can assist in any way.. (edit: I'm also good at finding deals on gear, if interested in saving a bit..)
