Removing rust in scratches?

Recently, I noticed a few large (1-2 inch long) scratches on the roof of my Vibe. Each having developed a little rust over time. I have the touch up paint and clear coat to cover/repair the scratches, but I want to obviously remove the rust first.The million dollar question: what topical product works well enough (in small scratch-size doses) to remove rust? I've heard of some folks carefully using Naval Jelly. I have also seen "000" steel wool (where the heck do you buy that stuff any how?!) recommended for removing rust.Any experiences/recommendations are gladly appreciated! Thanks again, Vibers.
