Microcontroller or microprocessors

Post by Wolfman213 »

Anyone know of a good source for microcontrollers? I've got an idea concerning the taillights that I know will require one. Never worked with them before, but I'm going to give it a shot. My quest is to retrofit an all led taillamp. The microprocessor will be not only to control the difference between running light and brake light, but I'm thinking about using a 2 or 3 second flash for the initial brake. Seen this for a taillight on a GSXR i believe, and am going to try and incorporate it with our taillamps. Project may be a waste, but sounds like something fun to try!

Have you looked at any of the LED places at the various controllers they have?

Awesome! Thanks GMJAP!Sublime: I've look at the places that I normally get my leds from and the only controller they have is either a music interface and RGB controllers.I'll be looking into this soon enough and see if my vision is even plausible. This is kinda what I'm going for. Vid Example Depending on how well i can pick this up will determine if it's going to work or not. Then actually trying to retrofit the taillamp i'm sure is going to be a pain. Worth a shot I guess.
