Good day to all and I have some good news! On the 15th of May, My Vibe has had its ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY!!!! 16922 miles later I have to say, WHAT A YEAR! Lets recap the year, One very minor fender bender in the rear (Thank goodness I had the two tone!) For about a month you could read the guys licence plate number because it was imbedded in the plastic, and Two flat tires, thats about the only bad things of the year (when I ordered my vibe in February of last year, we didn't have fancy things like Monotone or Factory Rebates). But I'll definately have some very good memories of my first year with my first vehicle, many nights of driving around with my girlfriend!!! Some of the BEST times!Great things about this car! The back space (helped a friend move twice) The looks The vercitility Very fun to drive With a little fine tuning (SC), we'll make it a speedy little thing Easy to chang oil! Always a plus! And the list goes on and on and on!The only really bad thing is, I'm not sure if anyone else has a problem with this, Bugs seem to be drawn to the Vibe, I wash it, then go down the street and suicidal bugs seem to all want to fly into it at the same time, really a pain in the (removed), but I can live with it.So overall, It's definately everything you could possibly want in a car.I would have baked a cake but I realized it would probably be bad for the engine to eat some, but it will get it's present when the SC finally comes out.
Abyss Vibe base auto with power, moontoons, abs. Undercar neons (red) along with various accent lights. Pics soon to come.
Tomorrow (12/30) will be one year for my Vibe. It has been holding up pretty well. I got rear-ended once (no damage), have only a token few paint chips on the hood, no door dings on the side. Some curbs have leapt out of their places and attacked a couple of the plastic wheel covers. My floormats (really just the driver's) are showing wear. Gotten some scratches in the back interior and on the roof rack cross bars from hauling dog crates and a wood stove. No interior spill disasters (yet).I've been consistently averaging 36 mpg in mostly calm highway driving. Changed the oil many times. Overdue on changing the coolant. Continental tires are holding up remarkably well. Had a couple long road trips, only problem was fighting over who got to drive.Pretty tame on the mod list, especially compared to some folks here, mine were mostly minor electrical tweaks. After 33K miles, I still think this is a great car. About to run out of warranty, but am counting on the car lasting a long long time, so far no reason to expect otherwise. I wouldn't go so far as to say "It's definitely everything you could possibly want in a car" but I will say it's all that I need, and then some.
