Fog Light Question (did search)

Post by cptnsolo77 »

While replacing my headlights bulb, I noticed my driver side fog was out. Pulled the bulb with no prob & it was a 51W bulb.....now heres the question. I have a 2 replacement 9006 high/low beam bulbs with the blue tint, but they are 55 watt bulbs. I know that going with a higher wattage bulb may melt the connector.....but a 4 watt difference??? will the 55W bulb put me in danger of melting the connector?

Not a high/low as stated. To answer your question no increasing by 4 watts will not create an issue. Put them in...

Appreciate the quick response. I didnt think 4 watts would be much of difference, but wanted to make sure. Didnt want to cause problems by being cheap LOL. They are bulbs my brother-in-law gave to me years ago & figured if I can use them, so why not? Thx again.
