Winshied Washer Lights

Post by dmitri »

I bought the blue ones today, I think they look cool at night. But looking under my hood theres fire proof material which makes access to the washer squirters difficult. I cant get it out of the way...Does anyone know how? These black fasteners hold it on but i cant get them off, i think they snap in place.

Here is a quote from this thread (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1097) (highly controversial topic ):quoted from NovaResource:quote:To remove the hood insulation you need the following tool: your handsThere are a bunch of round, black plastic tabs about the size of quarters that hold the hood insulation to the underside of the hood. They just push in (and pull out) by hand. Remove them all or just enough to get access to the washers.

A word of advice for you...don't get too cocky about beating any Honda that pulls up next to you. No matter how good of a driver you think you are and how many performace mods you have, there is always a better driver and someone who has more mods than you do. I have a GT with an intake and I want to put a cat. back exhaust system on mine, but that won't make it so I can beat every Honda on the road in a drag race. But I will have fun trying!

Oh please, nobody knows how to drive like a pro when they are 17. I used to think I was money back in the day... wait till you get out of high school dude, you'll see how wrong you are. I took an advanced Drivers training class through my work (GM) and I learned more there then I could have ever imagined... I'm sure you're not that good yet.Sorry to burst your bubble, but I thought that was funny. A good friend of mine owns a turbo'd honda with a ton of other mods, he'd smoke you (and me) in an instant.

we got off thread topic just a bit but here goes:quote:A good driver is a driver who in a panic or danger situation can manage to keep his car on the road, avoid a collision or impact in such a way that it is less dangerous for the cars occupants (his and the others). Some of the things I learned in the ADT (advanced Drivers Training) covered many of the things you just said. How to avoid objects falling off of the back of a truck at 55mph... controlled breaking without ABS. climbing a 5 inch curb at 70 mph... that kind of stuff. ADT was a freakin blast. I'll tell you what, It is nice to know that If I need to avoid hitting someone, I know how to go off the road over a curb, without damaging my car (at worst, I'd pop a tire).

haha sure i can burn any honda on the street. by any i mean any because ive never seen a honda on the street faster then 11.3 which my 79 malibu runs... i would never use my vibe for serious racing its stupid and a waste of time and money to invest into a 4 cylender when i have a 327 in my malibu

Maybe, though, the dual-stream releases more of a mist than a jet, thus covering the window fully?I'd like to add 'em too, but I don't know how to splice into the existing wiring.

quote:Yes, but that fine mist at 55 mph does not even hit the windshield then. You add the wiring to your corner lights. So when your headlights go on, they do also.Good call about the mist. Never thought of the "in motion" performance...As to wiring, I don't know I'm skilled enough to do it without causing major hell to my lights.
