shift sensor

Our 05' vibe auto FWD threw a CEL last week, come to find out its the shift sensor the controls second gear, has anyone else had to replace this, and if so did you do it yourself?? I searched but didnt really find what i was looking for
push Alt+F4 Or Apple key + Q to see some new photos

You're asking about a transmission internal sensor, maybe one of the solenoid valves, not the park/neutral switch that's externally mounted on the tranny shift lever?How hard it is to replace something like that depends a lot on the individual's skill, tools and facilities. I personally don't like to work on auto trannies, and take them somewhere to get fixed, about all I will do is drop the pan and change the fluid and filter.Did you get the CEL code?

i did but i need to find the paper, ill go tomorrow and get it again
