Missing Rear Wiper Part

Post by Smitty »

Hey guys,If anyone has a vibe part list I could really use your help. I went out to my vibe the other day and noticed that the small black plastic piece that covers the bolt on the rear wiper was missing. I really can't imagine that anyone stole it (although it wouldn't be difficult since I think it just snaps on and off) -- I'm guessing it came off during the last storm or maybe when I took my car to the car wash. It's completely cosmetic, but it makes my vibe look pretty tacky from behind. So if anyone knows the part number and could let me know I would greatly appreciate. Also, has anybody else had a problem with this piece going missing??Thanks,Scott

I've found mine like to come loose sometimes. I haven't lost it yet but there have been many times I've found it loose or almost off.

I haven't had any problems with any of my rear wiper covers myself.I don't have a GM parts catalog on the Vibe (your GM service dept. should be able to look-up the part on their computer with no problems) but I do have the part # from Toyota, which should be equivalent (these #'s won't work at GM, only Toyota):Cap, Wiper Link: 85172-12600 - $2.54also...Cover, Arm: 85292-28030 - $3.52Here is the link to the full Matrix parts catalog if you need further information:http://nicksimkins.com/vibe/misc/matrix ... log.pdfThe Rear Wiper assembly is on Page 15 of this document.Hope this helps!
