Times being what they are, just to be safe, I called Equifax to set up a Fraud Alert. It's easy, automated, and you don't have to call all 3 credit bureaus because they notify the other two (Experian and Trans Union) that there is a Fraud Alert attached on your credit report.If you (or someone else) tries to open an account in your name/s s #, etc. they call you to verify.
