Engine Management 2ZZ

Post by Herb »

Has anyone looked into engine management for the 2ZZ?Folks on the NewCelica forums talk about the Apexi Power FC, http://www.apexi-usa.com/products/?id=5354 but I'm not sure I have read any Vibe GT/Matrix XRS users using it.Are there other options available? I'm not too crazy that this doesn't support OBDII which probably would make my ScanGuage useless

I don't believe there are a whole lot of options for the matrix/vibe 2zz unless you go with something universal like a hydra or megasquirt. There are also certain injector controllers that will probably work too but any of these will need to be tuned by a professional.

depends if you just want a piggy back or a full em replacement. The full replacement is expensive. but if you just want a tune why not look into a piggy back.....

However I am looking into what I need for the DD Performance Intake Manifold. Many are upgrading the fuel injectors as well and are adjusting the lift engagement and I'm not sure the Unichip can do that.
