http://autos.msn.com/vip/futuremodel.as ... ge&src=vip this is sweet! at least i think so. i would consider trading in my vibe for this if it came out, but id have to probably trade in 2 or 3 to match it i am guessing.

It's a station wagon, with the biggest engine they could cram in it. If you've got 6 kids like my parents did, then it'll be perfect for racing them around town to various soccer matches, practices, etc.. How do I know? I grew up in the back seat of a station wagon. They were the only thing available to cart the 8 in my family around. They all looked pretty much just like that car.KSNeptune

You could fit lots of dead bodies in it, then just push it off the bridge. You'd be getting rid of a lot of your problems, all in simple operation. I guess that makes me opinionated too ... I think it looks like an Aztec that got put in the car compactor, but not squished all the way down.

I LIKE it!!!Sure it's got "strong" styling but at least it's different... in a cool, low, powerful way vs.the aztec which is different in a how high can I stick my head up my (removed) and still 'style' a car kinda way I'm just happy to see SOME North American company coming out with something different. Neither ford nor gm have anything particularly interesting - GTO, Marauder, just the same old same old with new wheels and a different engine. At least DM has the guts to make something different and, IMO interesting.Sure I'm not gonna buy one... nor will I purchase a PT or Pacifica but, you've gotta admit, with out the PT, GM never would have made that truck like thing they're so proud of, nor would Ford have made the new Tbird... hmmmm, maybe gm and ford should keep trying.Anyway, I'm all for different, interesting and exciting... you never know what cars like this will spin off. What ever does come will be all good for us consumer types

Although I am not a Chrysler fan (my Dad had a bad experience with the Cirrus), but a 5.7-liter 430-hp Supercharged HEMI V8???? Whoa, talk about power under the hood.

It looks strong and menacing. Sure beats a minivan. I want one for the same reason I'd never get one, the power vs. economy dilemma. I miss my muscle cars, but not enough to feed them anymore. With a 430HP engine, it's what people who buy a Vibe and obsess about tweaking it for more horsepower should have waited for.
I saw that at the Detroit Auto Show. If anyone thinks it looks menacing and tough in the pictures, you should see it in person. I felt a little funny standing in front of it. It looked like it was getting ready to tear off and run me over.

What ever does come will be all good for us consumer types Sorry, I have to disagree. It doesn't look all the different or new. Looks like a slightly redesigned durango that sits lower to the ground, and was stretched out a bit more. And I also don't agree that PT is the reason GM designed the Vibe and the likes of that...I think the concept had been in the works prior to PTs launch...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
Actually I didn't mean the PT influenced the vibe, I meant the PT was the first vehicle to come out and have great success that was different/retro that encouraged ford to make the tbird, gm to make the wierd thing that looks like a lowered 40's truck, etc. All I'm getting at is that DC is taking risks on interesting (like it or hate it) styling vs GM and Ford who are not. While I prob won't buy a DC vehicle, I do believe they are breaking ground allowing others to follow in creating new and different vehicles. If we want to trace the vibe lineage, check out the 80's civic wag-o-van, Toyota tercel awd, eagle vista etc. The matrix/vibe's not a new concept... just the first to make it into mass acceptance.

‘03 Vibe with 317k and still going.............................
actually its sposed to be the new nomad. they could have made the grill smaller but its not that bad. i garruntee the engine will never make it into a production car. they will probably slap the regular hemi from the ram in it

Pontiac G6 concept? Cadillac SIXTEEN or Cien? Chevy SS Concept? Buick LaCrosse or Cielo? Point being, they may be concepts, but they certainly are revolutionary. Perhaps GM has failed to bring some of their concepts to market for fear they will be failures, or not accepted...I'm not so sure they aren't making a wise move by letting other makers invest the money and risk the failure, and using their failure or success to determine the company's own future decisions...They may not be first to market, but it doesn't make them any less revolutionary when they DO bring certain models to market...
