awd exhaust

Post by dirty1 »

I know this has been covered a few times but I have some questions. A local shop told me that I could buy a catback system for a base vibe and they could cut and weld to make it fit my awd. Is there anyone with an awd that has done this? Any opinions on whether this is a good idea? What is the best exhaust setup I can have for my awd? I realize that it must be custom but I'm not trying to spend a ton of money.

cutting and welding will end up costing more. All the bends are diff from the base to the awd.I have recently had a change to listen to both magnaflow and borla. I got to say if you like loud magnaflow is your choice. But if you like a nice deep growl that isn't loud at highway speeds. borla is your choice.

New here so don't know if this has been discussed, but here goes. From my understanding the exhaust routing on the AWD makes it rather restricted. Meaning that changing mufler and pipes yeilds you nothing but a noisier car. So i'm curious, is my understanding wrong or are there mods out there that allow us to reroute the exhaust or change out the mufler and let her breathe a little better?
