Wheel "paint" peeling???

Post by ragingfish »

Ok, so I spent endless hours today washing my Vibe, as I do every week...and I noticed on one of my wheel covers, the silver "paint" is actually peeling off!!! What is THIS all about? I thought the plastic was colored silver, and not painted? Does anyone know if this would be covered under warranty? I've NEVER had this happen on a car before!

Bumper to bumper warranty should cover that.

Call ahead have the parts department make sure they have it on hand, so you can get it in one trip. The $30ish bucks shouldn't put GM out of business this week.

I wasn't sure it was warrantable because it's paint...just like they don't warrant scratches, peels, or dings in the body paint...
