I buy the springs from you, then you don't have to worry about the install! Pay your buddy to do them, if he's anything like me He'll be happy with $100. You'll get a good deal, and it's not hard to do. (with the right tools)

HAHA I am almost as bad. I have lowered and raised my car twice. Four times if you count the two failed attempts.

I had a local, independent performance shop install lowering springs on my Civic for $125. Because they've never done a Vibe they quoted me at most $200. I'd look for some tuner shops that could handle a Matrix because they could do a Vibe just the same.

Big name shops always quote that... They don't want to do the work because they didn't sell the parts.. It really has a lot to do with the corporation really, and insurance.. you bring in a box full of springs and they don't know WHAT they are and weather or not they are safe.. (like the fake S-techs) so they over quote so typically people just walk... Independents aren't held to the same overcautious standards and don't have corperate backing, so they take what they can get..

Of course, I didn't take the rear hatch interior plastic R & I into account - and I'm sure neither did my tuner shop.
