factory Service Manual for 2009 Vibe is here!

Post by Old Tele man »

...just got an e-mail from Helm, Inc telling me the GMP09S Service Manual Set for the 2009 Pontiac Vibe/VibeGT (S-platform) is now available for sale....if you're interested, contact them at www.helminc.com or 1-800-782-4356 for more info.DISCLAIMER--I have no affiliation with Helm, Inc, just thought people might want to get a manual while they're STILL available as I doubt Helm, Inc will be printing anymore Pontiac stuff...ever!

Those Helm manuals are the definitve source for Vibe repair info, I have a set for my 03, and while the set seems pricey, it can save a lot of time and money if you plan to service your own Vibe.

...I had to pay $85-something for the Helm manuals for my wifes' 1987 Astro van, back in 1988, so inflation-wise, it hasn't gone up all that much....I plan to get a set, since they might ALSO become a collectors item sometime in the future if the Vibe becomes the next DeLorean -- (think: "Back to Future, Again, Part IV")....do you KNOW where the Flux-Gate Capacitor is located in your Vibe? Having a comprehensive Service Manual will show you exactly where it's located, its factory part-number, and how to "change" it when you need to go back to 1950's to see Chuck Berry, again. (ha,ha)

I can find the links to the Matrix manual in http://matrixowners.com/index.php?showtopic=63212 but I spent a fair amount of time searching and could not find links to a GM service manual. I bought a copy of the Helm manual off ebay for my 03, but somehow I can't find the second volume. The GM manual from Helm is better than the Matrix manual for some things,(like connector pinouts :thumbup) and there are subtle differences, especially in the HVAC and other electrical things, such as headlights (poor ThunderRoad, me trying to help by referencing a wiring diagram that doesn't match the VIbe). Please post the link to where on matrixowners.com (I think you mean matrixowners, not the Missouri web site MO.com) the info is to download the GM manual.

K, sorry, I should have said the matrix manual, which covers 98% of anything on the vibe... And yeah, MatrixOwners.com... lol.. Sorry..

I found quite a few things in the Matrix manual written in Engrish. It was funny.

I figured if it existed someone would have had to scan in the two thoursand pages, so I wasn't sure about the quality, but since it doesn't exist, it doesn't matter. Thanks anyway.
