CEL P0442 Code

Looking for help with a check engine light code P0442.The description item for the code is “Evaporative Emission Control System Leak detected (small leak)” Any thoughts on where to start? Notes about my Vibe: 2003 GT, 97,500 miles, completely stock, original owner. I have seen no issues with performance, etc. Could the code come from a bad gas cap not keeping pressure? Also, where would the evaporation canister be located on the car to check for loose or disconnected line?Thanks in advance.

Could be the gas cap. The evap can is under the rear end of the car on the driver's side I believe. Black rectangular box about 7x4x3 inches.
