I got an email from Pontiac yesterday saying that even though they are phasing out Pontiac by 2010,that I can still take my 2008 to any GM dealer for services and there is absolutely no change to my warranty. Thats good news,I guess.I also have GMAC insurance which is suppose to use genuine GM parts in case of an accident(God forbid),so I wonder if they are going to continue making GM parts for all of the cars they have already made.I would think so,or how can they offer services like that?

It's true they will probably produce less parts but there will still be some. Beside, Toyota will continue to make the parts as well so there should be no worries. The "all GM parts warranty" is kinda funny when you consider this car uses Toyota mechanical parts.

No one stated it directly, but it sounds like replacement parts for X number of years is part of the contract that Toyota/GM agrees to when they build a vehicle at NUMMI.
...the government only requires the automotive makers to stockpile five (5) years estimated (key word here) usage/inventory of parts....how much you wanna bet they'll estimate on the LOW-side of all numbers?!?!

I just got the same letter in the mail today as well. Got it after I had my Vibe towed to the dealership because it wouldn't start. 4th time they have had to replace my PCM in less than 4 years!!!
