Pretty cool video...I'm still curious about the other exhaust...I've got nothing against Borla but it seems a lot of people have one, and not to blaz (flame) on anyone but i always thought borla was a big block exhaust system, I'm sure there great for our 4 bangers though; lots of history in that company...thanks for the info

As far as the Thermal goes, I think it's a bit louder than the Borla. Other than that, I don't think there is a lot of difference. The Greddy is a canister style so it's bound to be a bit louder. It's still a large muffler though so it's much more subdued than your average canister. From what I hear it's pretty nice. The Skunk2 is a slightly civilized version of the typical, to borrow a phrase, "fart can". It's not as loud as some of the universals, but it's still pretty zippy. It wouldn't be my personal choice.

I believe the Borla muffler itself is not polished, right? The Thermals are polished to look like chrome.

so NO one has the skunk2? i want a loud exhaust system as i said in some previous topics. borla and thermal are both pretty tame. By the way, greddy is a very quiet exhaust, almost quieter then the stock gt exhaust unless you rev it high. Greddy has always been known to be quiet.

LOL Not really. Chances are exactly the same now matter what it is. A stone hitting either one will have the same result.

Here's a link that compares exhausts from different mfg's on a Celica. They have sound clips, so you can get an idea of the difference in sound. http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0209t ... index.html

Might want to ask around about the Greddy over at MatrixVibe.net. I seem to recall someone over there having one. As far as I know though, nobody on any of the forums has the Skunk2.

The TRD has a deep sound, the clip doesn't do it full justice. They are around $300 for the Base and $400 for the GT. I got mine in Feb, "on sale" for about $465. List is MUCH higher.

I have just the borla welded in with the borla tip,and chooped the resonator. Sounds perfect to me. With the resonator on it was to quiet to me. Sounds better chopped off. No regrets
