Jay Leno

Post by jake75 »

I don't know about you, but I am impressed by Jay Leno arranging to provide free shows in April in Detroit to help lift the spirits of the many unemployed and their families in that area. Even the parking and soft drink refreshments (courtesy of Pepsi) will be free. Leno has a big ego for sure, but he obviously has a big heart to match. A stark contrast to the entertainers that are scalping tickets to their own concerts.

Yeah, there are quite a few Jay stories out there about things he has done for people. This is a fitting gesture in Motor City since he is such a gear head himself.

And he's boosting the Michigan economy in another way - there are reportedly hundreds (thousands) of people trying to SCALP the free tickets to his show!

I can't say I'm a Leno fan, but this is a really cool gesture.

I think this is just amazing that Jay Leno would do this. Too bad he isn't doing something like this where I live.

I once saw Jay on a talk show of some sort, well, there was an impersonator there for Jay, you couldn't tell them apart, but Jay sure could, he wouldn't look at the guy, shake his hand or even acknowledge his presence..... The guy was standing next to him.....I agree, he's done some great things, but that doesn't stop him from being a rich (removed)...
