It's official, I am no longer a Vibe owner. On the plus side my Dad traded in his '03 Base and got a 2009. I decided to get rid of my Vibe GT and Honda Civic and got a Lancer Ralli Art. My Wife and I bout a 2009 Lancer GTS last year and love it. We needed to get some Maintenance free cars so I can concentrate on my '82 Supra. here's some pics of the last times I had the cars, and some pics of the new one.
To each his own - you must be younger (and richer) than me. I could have bought two 1.8L '09 Vibes on Jan. 12th for what that probably set you back. But then if I had enough sense to get out of the market six months ago I could be drivin' a Bentley.

Eh, I still have a 40/60 split fold downs. and was suprised at the Trunkspace when we bought the Wife's Lancer GTS. It's nice, I've been addicted to boost for a while, now I have a nice daily driver but more importantly I can focus on the Supra. It's been sitting in the Garage for almost 5 years. I got a Front clip from a 1JZ Toyota Chaser for the supra, I got the clip stripped but that was it cause I had to put a Tranny in the Vibe. (2nd gear pop-out). I was just so burnt out on working on cars other than my project. And besides we had 4 cars between me and my wife and only a 2 car Driveway, Supra in the Garage. Work was getting irritated with me about having an Extra car sitting there. I would have had to put another tranny in the vibe this year too. the one that I got used last year had a bunch of metal in the fluid and leaked bad. Unfortunately I just had no desire to do that job again. 2 summers ago I replaced the Clutch with the ACT extreme with the Fidanza flywheel, and last year replaced the trans. It sux when you don't have a lift or help.

Sure, it certainly wasn't the most sporty or fast car, or even that good in the snow, but the cargo space was awesome and it was great on gas. However, I wouldn't trade either STI's for one. When I got my LGT, it didn't have the fold down rear seats, so I really missed that cargo space. Once Mav upgraded from his Vibe to the 07 STI, it was a real bummer having to borrow people's trucks to haul stuff. Now, even with my hatch, it's still not quite enough space (the front seat doesn't fold flat) as I really need. Oh well, eventually we'll pick up an SUV or truck or something to haul crap with. I've not driven the Ralliart, so I can't give comparisons, but i'm quite sure it's got quite a huge performance upgrade (and interior fit and finish) from our old Vibes.
I believe the HID lights are an Option on the Ralli Art and fairly certian they are standard on the EVO X.The Ralli Art comes with the TC-SST Trans (same as the EVO X MR minor differences) so yes it's automatic in the sense that there is no clutch pedal. The thing that really supprised me was how it shifts. My wife has the Lancer GTS with the Six-speed CVT trans and it feels like a Really really really smooth Automatic. the Ralli Art.... well when it shifts it's really different. the only way I can describe it is Manual shifting without having to do anything. It's really different.I miss my Vibe already though. I knew how to drive it. and as far as being fast, well mine was running 15.1 in the Quartermile at 92 MPH. and that was with the Stock Clutch that was slipping the entire time. After the Clutch and Flywheel, I was probably in the Mid-High 14's. With the Exhaust and Intake it was nice and loud like I liked it:http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...32124The Ralli Art is really fun to drive but besides the Tranny, AWD is different too. it's going to take me a while to really learn how to drive this thing. As far as Cargo space. I have a buddy that just got a '99 Lincoln Navigator and he owes me so it'll all work out.
ah very good. ya, I would think the Ralliart should be good for mid to high 13's yes? just work on learning to drive it. I wish we had the DSG box in my STI as I do miss my auto LGT, but at the track it's nice having the 6MT. The GTR has a super nice DSG box and it's smooth as butter. for anyone who says they suck for high performance cars, they are wrong. Many F1 cars have DSG boxes so if people give you crap about it being a glorified auto, just ignore them. they won't be saying that when they stare at your taillights getting smaller and smaller. LOL
