Aftermarket sub & amp with stock M&T system

Post by Wolfman213 »

First off, I am horrible at the search and seems like everything I attempt comes back with nothing or 250 results of installs of everything else.My initial plans of getting a new HU, amp and subs fell through so now I'm just going to use my old amp and find a sub. I have an 06 with the M&T and would like to know what I need to do to patch into the factory system. Can I just get a crossover (or am I thinking of something else) and tap into the factory sub as far as signal goes? If so, which wires would I tap into? I know that I will still need to run my power and grounds, but this will be the first time that I have tried an install without an aftermarket HU that has RCA outs.If this has been covered before, which I'm sure it has, I apologize, but like I said, I am horrible at the search and after several attempts and frustration, I figured to reach out to the Gods.

Ok, so I would connect that to my factory harness or to the harness that plugs into the factory sub and then run RCAs to my amp?

You would want signal prior to the sub..
