LEDS for tail light, backup light and turn signals

I just installed LED replacement bulbs for the tail/stop lights, the backup lights, and the rear turn signals. I will be replacing the front turn signal bulbs with LEDS also in the next day or two. I got the bulbs from http://www.superbrightleds.com and they have fast service.I had to add a 10ohm 10watt resistor in parallel with the turn signal leds for all four bulb replacements. So that is a total of 4 resistors. They are $1 each at radio shack. You don't need to buy the expensive resistor kit that they offer. Without the resistors, the cars electrical system thinks the turn signal bulbs are burned out, because the leds use much less energy, so they will either flash at warp speed , or they won't work at all.You can also try to find a hazard/turn signal relay for your car that works with leds. (Hard to find, At least I didn't find one.)I will take pictures later.Vance

Alright i know its an old thread, but im looking to replace some of my bulbs too, how did all that turn out? were you pleased? any pics??

well, for what it's worth, i had a negative experience with superbrightleds.com. i bought brake, front and rear turn signal, and 3rd brake light leds as well as the flasher from them. all the stuff fit in properly and was easy to install. the big problem was the brightness. none of the leds were visible in the daylight. heck, even in the shade of dense woods the leds could barely be seen. at night, it was very unimpressive. the stock bulbs far outshined the leds. then the flasher went wacko. i couldn't get the lights to come on at all, then they worked fine, then they wouldn't blink when i used the remote keyless fob, then nothing, then everything, then etc etc etc.i forget all the details to be honest. i do remember buying the second most expensive products for all of my applications.
