See today's Toronto Starhttp://www.thestar.com/News/Ontario/article/600050And I quote:Auto industry executives including Ford, General Motors and Toyota have urged Ottawa since late last year to give consumers up to $3,500 in rebates or credits when they trade in a vehicle that's at least 11 years old to buy a new one in a bid to spur sagging auto sales and rescue the auto sector.....FWIW I *promise* that I would buy a brand new vehicle this week if I could be guaranteed $3500 for our current vehicle which we drive daily. For sure this is way more than I can get on a trade in or even in a private sale. (Although our car in question wouldnt be eligble for the entire $3500 as it is only 8 years 8 months old). Any of you be in a position to take advantage of this possible offer?
