How to remove the factory roof rack?

I need to get the roof rack off so I can powdercoat it black. There are no exposed screws I can see anywhere. Before I go prying on plastic covers, is there a write-up anywhere? Thanks.

I did this mod 3 years ago. Looks great, like they should have done in the first place. I busted all the pieces that hold the bottom to the car. Cost $35 bucks to replace them, more than the powdercoating. I think that the bottoms are slotted, and after removing the front and back, you can slide the bottom and lift. Lots of luck.

Anybody do this to an '09 yet? The racks look different to me.
