P0172

Hi guys..got a 2003 GT...yellow check en gine light went on last year..they changed thermostat...worked fine until it went on again about a month ago..got it into the shop..has a P0172 code....rich gas mixture...the cleaned my injectors and flushed out my radiator..2 days later..yellow light is back on...has any of you ever gotten this??

Flushed your rad for your A/F being rich? Could be the MAF, you could try cleaning that. Hopefully someone with a shop manual can chime in.

don't know too much about engines...what is a maf?

MAFMass Air Fuel sensor. It's located in the tube of your air intake little black thing that is held in by two screws. Disconnect your battery, remove the sensor, clean with MAF cleaner, Put sensor back in intake. Reconnect your battery.

did it this afternoon...what a easy fix...got some hp back...now I'll wait a few days to see if it really was that...I'll keep you guys posted.Thanks again

hi guys...cel came back on......so it's not the MAF....any ideas what else could it be?

funny thing happened today..just out of the blue..my cell turned off...got full power back....I'm happy as a #$%^&
