Best tires for the price?

my factory tires are getting balder by the day, and my 05 is almost at 30k.I have been putting off getting tires because I am going to have to get a loan to do it, but Its unavoidable now.Does anyone have any recommendations on a good tire for the money?It doesn't have to get 90000 miles (though I am not opposed to it)I just want to get the longest lasting quality tire I can get for the money. Cheaper is better, but being disabled and having to take out a loan to do this, quality and durability will trump the cheapest thing I can put on.Unless of course cheap is better given that performance and touring seem to be the only choices in tires.I noticed Discount tires have a $75 rebate on micheline as well as their own Arizonan tires at 75 a piece. I am a bit gunshy on micheline, my last car was a 2001 cr-v that I though I would still be driving, so Iput hydroedges on it, and only(barely) got 25k out of the tires. Both discount, and honda blamed the other on the wear(the dealership did the alignment, or not as Isuspect) and I had to pay for 1 tire since neither would step up completely.I just want to get the best overall bang for my buck.

You will find all kinds of ratings on all kinds of classes of tires. For instance, do you want a performance tire to go flying around corners with, or do you simply want an all season passenger tire. I'm going to put on the Michelin MXV4 Primacy all season passenger tires next year. Pricey, but top notch. The Michelin Pilot Exaltos are also excellent. They give you less mileage, but are a great high performance all season tire. For other brands that will no doubt be less expensive than Michelin, please to to the tire rack and do all your research. Once you have your brand, enter it in your search engine and find out who is selling it the cheapest. I would stick with the Grand Touring All Season, Passenger All Season, and High Performance All Season categories. They seem to provide the best of summer and winter, treadwear and grip. Good luck.
